Why do men lie to their girl friends?

I hate telling lies. I am always having relationship who lie to me. I have broken up with two now because of telling lies.

My ex-husband and I have been divorced for a little over two years. He since remarried, Him and this women have been together for six years, so she has been around for awhile. They both have had drugs past and other charges on their records.

I did not know all this when we divorced or I would of tried to strip him of all rights. Over the years their have been several situations my boys have invited them to events and tried to build more of a relationship, to which they did not reciprocate. Here lately they have begun lying to our youngest (8) and telling him they trust him more than I do and that they have tried to get along with me and I will not.

I do not know what to do, in our papers we can not down each other, but they are flat out lying and it is messing with my sons emotions. Our oldest (10) is not buying it and ignoring what they say, but it still hurts to know he is being lied to. Our eight year old is now talking about moving there because of the lies.

I am hurt because I always try and be the best mother and raise them under God. Their father is several payments behind in child support, never calls to check on them, we have to switches visition day when he does not feel like dealing with sports practices, its just petty things he as a father does not want to deal with. I do not tell them things and make excuses for him I am sick and tired of the lies and his ways. What to say and so?

aren’t they afraid of the lie being discovered and the consequences of that?
or do they think they they are too smart and the wife is too stupid for the lie to be ever discovered?

i was married to a porn addict, narcissist and pathological liar who was joined at the hip with his parents. of course the marriage didn’t survive, but i wonder why would one want to get married in the first place if the relationship was built on lies? what was his plan B if he got caught?

Here is my thing, In my life I have learned that many women will still date or see a guy whether he is in a relationship or not. So why do men still lie? Especially if the women ask and say that it does not matter one way or the other?

I am in a relationship for a very long time and I am tired of it!! We have a child together so its hard just to leave, but he lies about being on the internet talking and emailing other women!! And that is the tip of the Iceberg!! What should I do??

It seems that most men tell you want to hear, and then go back on every word that comes out of their mouth, or are hiding something… like hanging out with an old girlfriend…. Why do men do that? (and yes I know some women do it too) Why in a relationship… do you lie or with hold?

What should I do about my ex-husband telling our children lies about me?

My ex is continually telling our children lies about me. Trying to make them angry with me. I divorced him because of abuse. He is telling them that I divorced him because of an affair which is not true.

Part of me wants to tell the children the truth, but I think they are too young and I don’t want to lower myself to his standards.

We are now going through another court battle over placement because he cannot get the children to school on time.

It is affecting the childrens education. Our children are a girl age 5 and a boy age 7. Since I started this court issue at the teachers request, he has begun to tell them all kinds of things that are not true.

He calls me (not very nice) names in front of the children and does everything he can to try to convince them that I am a home wrecker and that he did nothing wrong.

I am not blaming him for the divorce and don’t want to come between the relationship between our children and him. I just want him to stop lying to our children.
