why do men find it necessary to lie about the number of sexual partners they have had!
like for example if they have only slept with 4 people they lie and say that they have slept with 7, do they think this is going to impress a women by sleeping with lots of people!
i personaly think its a turn off, the less people someone has sleept with the better!
what do you guys think?

It’s an ego boost for most guys to add a bit to that number. The higher the number, the cooler the guy is, after all.

It’s like this. Guys want to be the alpha-male. Scoring with lots of girls makes guys feel like they’re the dominant ones. Even if they can only pretend that they have.

i dont lie — i dont remember but i dont make the number bigger to try to impress —- thats stupid —- if the lady im with does not like it shrugs its who i am and i would NEVER judge someone on the number of partners they have had —- i look at it as they have helped to create the character/personality that interests me so much —- think about it — its past build a bridge and get over it —- you like the person
In the American Pie movie it was called the rulle of two, men add two, women take off two, I think its all down to how they feel their peers will perceive them, women on the one hand don’t want to come across a bit of a tramp, whereas the males want their mates to think they are a stag.
I’m not sure that is an entirely accurate statement. Sure they probably lie to other men about their sexual accomplishments and they do it because it inflates their ego. But what sane man would boast to a woman of such things. I know I’ve never done it.

All men are competitive in nature. Saying that you slept with a lot of girls is expected to prove that you are a stud and a sexually attractive man. If you new boyfriend says something like that, just mention that it’s not a turn on for you, he should get a hint.
I think men want to brag and one-up each other when talking to other men, but I would never increase the number when speaking to a woman. If anything I might decrease the number or avoid the topic altogether.become an alpha male
